Cancellation Policies
Freelyfy allows owners to choose among 3 standardized cancellation policies: Flexible, Moderate and Strict, that will be applied when a guest cancels the reservation to protect both the guest and the owner. Each listing and reservation on our platform will clearly indicate the corresponding cancellation policy.
If the owner cancels or rejects a reservation, the amount paid by the guest will be fully and automatically reimbursed. The cancellation of reservations by an owner, without a cause of force majeure included in our terms of service, may negatively affect the position of his property in the search results.
The following rules will be applied in all cases, regardless of the cancellation policy selected by the owner:
- The Freelyfy service fee and the security deposit will be both always fully refunded if the guest or the owner cancels before the stay starts.
- If it is verified that there is a reason of force majeure or exceptional circumstances established in our Terms of Service, the FLEXIBLE policy will be applied automatically for all purposes, regardless of the cancellation policy selected by the owner.
- Freelyfy will intervene when necessary or if there is a complaint from either party and will decide the appropriate solution according to the information available, in application of our Terms of Service.
- A reservation is officially canceled when the user clicks the cancel button on the booking page.
FLEXIBLE: Full refund if the guest cancels until 1 day before check in. Otherwise, the first week is non-refundable.
Until 1 day prior to check in: Full refund
To get a full refund, cancellation must be made, at least, 24 hours before the expected check-in time (or at 3:00 PM if not specified).
Otherwise: 1st week is not refunded
If the guest cancels less than 24 hours before check-in time, the first 7 nights will not be refunded.
MODERATE: Full refund cancelling until 2 weeks before check in or within the following 2 days after booking confirmation. Otherwise, only 50% will be refunded.
Until 14 days prior to check in or within 48 hours after booking confirmation: Full refund
To get a full refund, cancellation must be made, at least, 14 days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified).If the booking has been made within 2 weeks prior to arrival, a full refund will be obtained if it is cancelled within the following 48 hours after booking confirmation.
Otherwise: 50% refund
If the guest doesn´t cancel at least 14 days in advance or within 48 hours after the reservation is confirmed, only 50% of the total cost of the rental will be refunded.
STRICT: Full refund cancelling until 1 month before check in or within the following day after booking confirmation. Otherwise, nothing will be refunded.
Until 30 days prior to check in or within 24 hours after booking confirmation: Full refund.
To get a full refund cancellation must be made, at least, 30 days prior to listing’s local check in time (or at 3:00 PM if not specified).If the booking has been made within 1 month prior to arrival, a full refund will be obtained if it is cancelled within the following 24 hours after booking confirmation.
Otherwise: No refund
If the guest doesn´t cancel at least 30 days in advance or within 24 hours after the reservation is confirmed, nothing will be refunded.
